We love the books "Allah Made You a Boy Alhamdulillah" and "Allah Made You a Girl Alhamdulillah" by Sister Rafia Syed. The books are illustrated well and beautifully written so children can understand and enjoy them simultaneously. The books can give an easy understanding of the Muslim role models from children's perspective. They are such excellent books for little Muslims to learn about their religion.

Reviews
These two books are companion picture books- and don't be fooled by the titles! To be honest, the titles made me reluctant to pick them up in the first place. I was bracing myself for some cringe nonsense about how boys are strong and girls love babies - but was very pleasantly surprised by the contents. Each book highlights important Muslim men and women and the values that boys and girls can learn from them, respectively. I really appreciated the girl's example of trusting in Allah and being patient when people say hurtful things about you, as Aishah (ra) did. I've never seen the lfk referenced in a child-appropriate way before, so this was unique and well done. My own personal hangup is that think by relegating male and female examples to boys and girls separately, it gives the impression that girls can't embody the values displayed by male Companions or vice versa -

My daughter is only months old but I am so excited to be able to read this book to her as she grows up. Not only is it amazing she has book that has her own name on it, it deeply connects her to her beautiful gender that Allah has gifted her. In this LGBTQ climate it is so necessary we teach our kids to love themselves just how Allah brought them into this world. This book gives such amazing examples and stories that are easy to follow and connect. Fun learning for both parent and child.

I bought a personalized book for my son Zakaria A beautiful book that teaches young boys (there is another version for girls) on the legacy left by the greatest men in our Ummah. It has cute drawings and can be customized of your child's name. Zakaria loves going through the book and hearing his name. A great gift to a little one that instills pride in being a Muslim.

Allah made you a boy, which is a beautiful book really easy to read for the littles. It introduces important role models in a simple way for kids. The illustrations are beautiful, and it is just long enough to captivate my boys' interest and have longer conversations. I highly recommend this book.
